About the Presenter:
Dr. Smoller has had a passion for wine since his days living near Napa Valley. He has been seriously studying wine for the last 11 years and has completed three of the six sections of the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust (WSET) level 4 (Diploma level). Along the way he has also completed the Italian Wine Scholar and French Wine Scholar programs (Wine Scholar Guild), the Spanish Wine Expert course, along with master level courses in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, Loire Valley, Rhone Valley, Champagne, and Rioja, all with honors. His wine studies are not limited to Europe, however, and he has also successfully completed courses about wines from California, Oregon and Texas, Argentina, Chile, China, Georgia, South Africa, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
He has been formally certified as an instructor for the WSET program, as well as by the Wine Scholar Guild. He teaches several wine courses at Daemen University and Finger Lakes Community College and gives wine presentations throughout the greater Rochester region. He is the owner of Know Wine, LLC (www.knowwine.net). In his spare time, he is a Professor at Univ. Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Dungeons and Drag Queens
We’ve got a brand new event for y’all which combines all the queer passion associated with D&D! You loved Tales of Vicious Mockery earlier this year and now they’re back with a drag queen variant
Three adventurers will team up to overcome a darkness that has befell the land, they will be a united team until they find only one of them can have their deepest desire come true.
Doors will open at 7:00 and the game will begin at 8:00. In the midst of the game there will be a show at 9:00 with each Queen performing a number so have those dollars handy

Meet the Winemaker: Piandaccoli
Tonight, you will travel back in time and place to taste some of the most ancient and indigenous grapes Tuscany has to offer. You will be amazed by the history and cultivation of five gorgeous wines and their presentation. Join us to celebrate the rich history, their evolution, and Piandaccoli’s continuous quest for perfection.

(2) industry experts presenting including Rafael Anzuoni and Eric Frick of Cuvee Imports

The estate began with the cultivation of vineyards by monks in 1100, before the phylloxera epidemic that hit Europe in the mid-nineteenth century wiped out the indigenous varietals present in Tuscany. Piandaccoli emerged in 1950 with the production of Chianti, but it was the vision of Dr. Giampaolo Bruni that set the stage for this incredible winery’s future. He collaborated with the University of Florence, using DNA testing on grapes found in the Medici tombs, to reintroduce autochthonous varietals prevalent during the Italian Renaissance.
All 20 hectares of the estate were replanted in 2004, and along with Sangiovese, Piandaccoli planted the indigenousvarietalsof Foglia Tonda, Pugnitello,Barsaglina, Colorino and Mammolo. This project produces truly unique and delicious wines with incredible history.

Social Deduction Saturday
Please note the new time for this month
Welcome back fellow Ravenswood townsfolk(?), we're going to try out another new script this month in hopes of highlighting some characters we haven't played with before and even a brand new one. This script is Tipping the Scales, it takes place in a town where the evil team is perfetly balanced with very powerful roles and also very passive roles that can support demons that ride the fence in terms of power. The good team is equipped with roles that will deduce tons of various info but also hopefully combat some of the power of the evil team. It may seem insurmountable to go against 1 death per night and 1-2 deaths per day - but keep your calm and fight to bring down the demon.
The event will be the typical $8 per person and will take place in our main area where you can participate in the game. Space is limited so be sure to buy your ticket ahead of time and we'll spend the night solving mysteries and deducing who is terrorizing the town.
