Beyond its bustling retail destinations, The Grove is home to two cherished artifacts from the historic Midtown Plaza—the first indoor downtown mall in the U.S. and a beloved part of Rochester’s past. The iconic Clock of Nations now stands inside the Tower280 lobby, while a section of the original monorail is on display in the 260 East Broad lobby. Though Midtown Plaza itself is no longer standing, these artifacts have returned to the very site where they once delighted visitors, preserving a piece of Rochester’s history in a newly reimagined space.

  • The Grove is a downtown courtyard nestled between Tower280 and 260 East Broad at 266 East Broad Street.

  • The most convenient parking available is within Midtown Garage with entrances off of Clinton Avenue and Broad Street. This garage provides direct elevator access into the Tower280 lobby which has doors exiting right into The Grove. In addition to the garage, ample street parking is also available within walking distance.

  • The Clock of Nations now resides inside the Tower280 lobby which is open Monday-Friday from 7:00 am-7:00 pm with varied hours on the weekend.

    The monorail is available for viewing inside the 260 East Broad lobby Monday-Friday from 7:30 am-5:00 pm.
